Colonial
Mast is a family campground and as such, we strive to provide
and maintain a campground where you and your family can relax,
enjoy your time together and make memories that will last
a lifetime. In order for everyone to have a great camping
experience at Colonial Mast, we ask your cooperation with
the following:
Check-in time
is 1:00 pm. All campers and their guests must be registered
at check-in and the appropriate fees paid. Check out time
is 11:00 am – as a courtesy to arriving families, we
ask that you be mindful of this and leave your campsite on
time and clean.
Refunds. Sorry, but there are no refunds for late arrivals, early departures
or when cancelled less than 45 days. Cancellations must be
received at least 45 days prior to arrival to receive a refund
(less $15.00 service charge and any non-refundable deposit).
All reservations booked one year in advance subject to a $25.00
non-refundable booking fee, (applied to deposit.) Rates are
subject to change
Camp Store and
Office hours: During the summer, mid-June to Labor
Day, the camp store, office and Recreation Hall are open from
9:00 am to 10:00 pm daily. During the off-season, hours will
be posted. The Camp Store offers general groceries, drinks,
ice cream, snacks, clothing, fishing supplies and gifts. We
also offer a snack bar, with fresh dough pizza.
Quiet time: Reasonable quiet is expected from 10:00 pm to 8:00
am. This means no loud conversations, large groups, music,
TV’s etc. Children under age15 must be on their own
site by 10:00 pm, teenagers under 18 must be on a site by
11:00 pm. Please be courteous to your neighbors. No loitering
in common areas is allowed, i.e. the beach area, the pavilion,
the restrooms.
Speed limit: within the campground is 5 mph. Please drive slowly when entering
and through the campground – there are a lot of children
around.
Swimming: there are NO LIFEGUARDS on duty at the beach or pool, swimming
is at your own risk. Small children must be accompanied and
supervised by an adult at the beach, and anyone under age
16 must have adult supervision at the indoor pool facility.
We require swimmer diapers and/or waterproof pants for infants
or toddlers that are not potty trained.
Absolutely No diving is allowed at either location.
Children: Parents are responsible for the behavior and welfare of their
children. Small children must be accompanied by an adult when
using any campground facilities.
The Playground is open from 8:00 am to dark. For safety reasons, children
are not allowed in the playground after dark. We ask that
parents insure that children play in a safe manner while at
the playground. The playground equipment is for smaller children
please.
Pet Policy: Your well-behaved
pets are welcome and must be kept on a physical leash at all
times. Voice command and electronic collars are not acceptable
means of constraint. Aggressive and noisy pets should be left
at home. Dogs should not be left unattended at your site,
a lonely pet is a noisy pet. Dogs that become a problem to
their neighbors will be asked to leave the campground –
a list of kennels is available at the office. Dogs are not
allowed at the swimming beach, but may swim at the boat ramp.
You must pick up after your pets and dispose of waste in the
dumpster.. Children may only walk pets they are capable of
restraining and picking up after. Guests may not bring pets.
Breed restriction: We no longer accept pit bulls and rottweilers in the park
Campfires: All of our fireplaces have been carefully located for safety
and cannot be moved. Campfires must be confined to the fireplace
and should be kept small. Fires must be completely out when
leaving the campsite or retiring for the evening. Please do
not burn garbage.
Firewood is available for sale at the camp store. DO NOT cut, trim
or in any way damage trees or brush. Please purchase firewood
locally – do not carry firewood over state lines. There
have been recent concerns regarding non-native insects being
introduced into Maine forests.
Boating: All boats must be registered at the office upon check-in and
the appropriate fee paid. Please use assigned dock slip only.
Boats are to be operated in a safe manner at our waterfront
and on the lake. State law requires that all water sports
, (tubing and waterskiing), must be 200 feet from the shoreline.
NO JETSKI USE allowed from the campground waterfront. Prior
to launching your boat, please inspect your boat for any plant
life and remove. State Law Requires that a current Milfoil
sticker be displayed on your boat, available at local stores.
Boat trailers must be stored in the boat trailer parking lot,
located behind the Recreation Hall.
Bike Riding within the campground is a privilege that can be revoked.
Bike riding must be in a safe manner, children under age 16
should have safety helmets, (State Law), No bike riding allowed
on the beach, on the pavilion or after dark anywhere in the
campground. Please use bike racks at the Recreation Hall and
Beach area.
The following
equipment is not allowed in our campground: Mini-bikes,
mopeds, all terrain vehicles, noisy equipment, skateboards,
rollerblades and children’s motorized vehicles. The
campground management reserves the right to deny use of any
vehicle it deems to be unsafe, excessively noisy or bothersome
to other campers. No generator use allowed.
Fireworks and
Firearms: - Firearms are prohibited in the campground.
Although now legal in the State of Maine, All fire works (with the exception of sparklers, carefully supervised,
are PROHIBITED in the campground. Absolutely no firearms allowed on the property.
Smoking: For the comfort of all our customers, NO SMOKING allowed on the swimming beach. Marijuans use is prohibited in the campground. Although now legal in Maine, in the interestes of maintaining a family atmosphere, marjiuana use is not allowed.
The Dump Station is located next to the restrooms and is free to registered
guests. By state law, all trailers must have a closed container
for gray water, with tight connections. Gray and black water
may be disposed of at the dump station. No discharge of any
kind is allowed on the ground. Failure to abide by this will
result in eviction from the campground. An on-site
pumping service is available Monday and Thursday for a $ 15.00
fee, sign up at the office. ($10.00 surcharge for emergency
off-day service.) The water at the dump station is for dump
station use only and is not potable.
Trash disposal: Dumpsters are located in the pool parking lot, household trash
only. No large items will be accepted. Do not leave garbage
on your campsite as it will attract critters!
Use of your
Air Conditioner and/or Electric Heater is permitted
for a fee of $ 4.00 per day, please pay at the office.
The Laundry is located behind the Recreation Hall and is available 24
hours a day. Please do not put large items, rugs or sleeping
bags in the machines. Change and laundry soap are available
in the camp store.
Smoking is not permitted in any of our buildings. We ask that you
be courteous of others when smoking on our grounds, and PLEASE
do not discard cigarette butts on the ground.
